Breaking News:DECLARATION OF NATIONWIDE SECURITY EMERGENCY & RECRUITMENT OF ADDITIONAL ARMY AND POLICE PERSONNEL

DECLARATION OF NATIONWIDE SECURITY EMERGENCY & RECRUITMENT OF ADDITIONAL ARMY AND POLICE PERSONNEL Fellow Nigerians, Today, in view of the emerging security situation, I have decided to declare a nationwide security emergency and order additional recruitment into the Armed Forces. By this declaration, the police and the army are authorised to recruit more personnel. The police will recruit an additional 20,000 officers, bringing the total to 50,000. Although I had previously approved the nationwide upgrade of police training facilities, the police authorities are, by this statement, authorised to use various National Youth Service Corps camps as training depots. The officers being withdrawn from VIP guard duties should undergo crash training to debrief them and deliver more efficient police services when deployed to security-challenged areas of the country. The DSS also has my authority to immediately deploy all the forest guards already trained to flush out the terrorists and bandits lurking in our forests. The agency also has my directive to recruit more men to man the forests. There will be no more hiding places for agents of evil. My fellow Nigerians, this is a national emergency, and we are responding by deploying more boots on the ground, especially in security-challenged areas. The times require all hands on deck. As Nigerians, we should all get involved in securing our nation. Let me take this moment to commend our security agencies for working together to secure the release of the 24 schoolgirls in Kebbi and the38 worshippers in Kwara State. We will continue to sustain the efforts to rescue the remaining students of Catholic School in Niger State and other Nigerians still being held hostage. To the leadership and rank and file of our Armed Forces, I commend your courage and your sacrifice. This is a challenging moment for our nation and for the military institution itself. I charge you to remain resolute, to restore peace across all theatres of operation, and to uphold the highest standards of discipline and integrity. There must be no compromise, no collusion, and no negligence. The Nigerian people are counting on you, and this administration will provide the support you need to succeed.

THE EVIL WOMAN

THE EVIL WOMAN In the quiet village of Erewin, people spoke in whispers whenever night fell. Not because of the darkness,
but because of the woman who lived at the edge of the forest — Mariel. They called her many names: the witch, the shadow bearer, the evil woman. But none dared say it loud enough for the wind to carry. Mariel was beautiful in a way that made the heart uneasy. Her long black hair flowed like a river of shadows, her eyes glowed with a strange knowing, and her smile — sharp and slow — could chill the bones of even the bravest hunter. She lived alone in a crooked old house that seemed to exhale darkness. No one knew where she came from. She simply appeared one stormy night many years ago, walking out of the forest barefoot, with a silver pendant glowing on her neck. Some said she was cursed. Others believed she was the curse. Children were warned: “If you wander too far, the evil woman will find you.” But one evening, something strange happened. Animals began disappearing. Chickens vanished from locked coops, dogs ran into the forest and never returned, and the night birds stopped singing altogether. Fear grew like a disease. People blamed Mariel, of course — fear always needs a face. A group of villagers decided to confront her. Torches in hand, they marched to her house. But when they reached the doorway, the air grew thick and heavy, as if unseen eyes watched from all directions. Mariel stepped out quietly, her hands folded calmly, a smile stretching across her pale face. “I know why you’ve come,” she said softly. “But the darkness you fear… did not come from me.” As she spoke, a cold wind roared through the trees. Something moved behind the villagers — something large, something that growled. Panic exploded. Torches dropped. Screams followed. When the terror finally passed and the villagers opened their eyes, the creature was gone. The forest was silent. And Mariel stood alone, untouched. She looked at them with a chilling calm. “Now you understand,” she whispered. “There are worse things in these woods than an evil woman.” From that night onward, no one bothered her again. But sometimes, late at night, people still see a figure standing at the edge of the forest — long black hair, glowing eyes, and a smile that knows more than it says. Whether she protects the village… or watches it… no one really knows. But they still call her the same name. The Evil Like and subscribe for part 2
